D-5440NS
A special blend of oils for cables cleaning and lubricating for cables
Features
-
- A fluorocarbon telomer that is chemically similar to the PTFE-fluorocarbon resin
- Prevents corrosion on metal substrates and provides a lubricating surface for them
- Prevents corrosion and provides lubrication without the buildup of debris from greases and oils
- Withstands temperatures from the cryogenic range to 240°F (116°C)
- Excellent dry film lubricant for wood, plastic, rubber, paper, and metal
- Excellent anti-stick properties
- Does not stain or run
- Does not attract dirt or dust
- Is chemically inert and non-conductive
- Provides substrate with the highest adhesion possible while still providing lubricating properties or a good release
- Effective release agent for epoxies, polyurethanes, etc
- Replaces grease applications where the grease must be constantly changed out because of accumulation of debris
- Low coefficient of friction
- Use for slat and flap track lubrication and corrosion protection without dealing with debris buildup that typically occurs if greases and oils are used.
- D-5440NS finds many uses throughout the aircraft.
- The aerosol form of the D-5440NS Fluorocarbon is designed primarily to be used as a dry film lubricant or mold release where it is applied to a to a cold or warm surface (less than 240°F (116°C)).
- D-5440NS can be used in conjunction with the Formit® extensions to provide targeted spray to areas that may be difficult to reach but need to be coated. Please refer to our Formit® technical data sheet for more information.
- Bulk application available as ZC-440
- Use D-5440NS on flap tracks and jackscrews
